There has to be some way of visualizing tags in calendar view. Clearly showing the text is not viable, but showing the colors should be.

I know that when you make multiple entries in one day the app shows them in dots, and that takes some (potentially all the) space. But:

Why show multi-entries as dots in the first place? Why not just show a number of how many entries there are in that day, in a corner of the calendar square? Because, from my understanding, all dots have the same color and just serve to show the number and nothing else. Like if there are 4 entries, then have a number "4" instead of 4 dots. And maybe if there is just 1, then don't show it. Although the disadvantage is that it may be confused with the calendar day... (Roman numerals maybe??)
If we are going to mantain the dots... honestly, who writes 5+ entries a day? Or 10+? And if so, who cares if there are 13 or 17? The solution could be to limit the dots that are shown to 5 or 10 (but dont limit the entries that can be written), and then show the tags on the upper part (for example) as colored squares or something, similar to the dots.
Okay, multi-entri dots will stay there... But why not use border colors or something like that for the tags? Something like this (from Quillio app):

As a last resort, I have seen that, if you dont add an image to an entry, then you are left with a monotone square of 1 color. Well, this square could be colored based on the tags, instead of wasting the space. At least it would work for the ones that dont have an image 🙁

And then there would be the question of which and how much tags to show. I think ideally at least 5 tags should be visualized. And I don't know if tags from the second, third... entries should be shown or not.

I personally consider tags to be much more important than multi-entries. I don't think I will multi-entry ever tbh, whereas I use tags for almost all entries. In fact, this app works best when writing only 1 entry per day (it shows only 1 image in calendar view etc). And it's the traditional way of keeping a diary I guess, just write an entry daily. Although I understand that this is subjective and arguable.
