v3.1.44 force closes because of missing Play Services

I am using the android version of diarium for several years now. Originally bought via Google Play and then again via gum road as I removed google play store/services.... from my phone. There was no issue while using it except the maps did not work (no wonder because of play services but also no problem for me). I updated to 3.1.44 yesterday and now after a few seconds this message pops up and force closes diarium. I see no reason why it suddenly cant work anymore.

This was an intended change because I found out that one of my apps was cracked/pirated. I therefore enabled Google Play automatic protection: https://support.google.com/googleplay/android-developer/answer/10183279
I only distribute the app through Play Store and no other channel. I never gave authorization to other "Stores" to offer my app. The Gumroad payment option is only meant meant and shown for users who download the app from Google Play but live in a country that have payments disabled

So the version before 3.1.44 is the last one I can use even though I legitimately bought the app twice? I see that piracy is an issue especially since you are a single dev. But it is really sad for me that I am no longer able to use Diarium which I was using for 7+ years now, thats a bummer.

FelixF I can try to give you a refund if the purchase did not happen too far in the past, just write me a mail.
You only need to buy the app once in the Play Store, and then continue to use the Play Store. I am only offering the Android app in the Play Store and always have. On the Pro version page there is a note telling that the license is bound to the App Store account (in this case the Google account)
