Help needed to begin using app.

@timo perhaps including a short tutorial within the app would be useful for the new users? with an option to skip for those who don't need it? or edit the "first post" to include more instructions?

Before I start adding a tutorial or similar, I would want to try to make the app more intuitive to use.

timo I am a fan of the app, BUT… Is it possible to fine tune the screen?
1) Lose all the tags that appear on the bottom of the entry box or allow easy ‘select’ and ‘delete’
2) How can I use a handwriting to text app within in your app
3) A general User Guide would be great, unless this is not an app for luddites…or a glossary-esque type of reference guide?

I will keep struggling with this, as I like it…just please add more (seemingly) navigation notes.

If there will be no written manual, at least how about a youtube channel devoted to this app with some basic tutorial videos on how to use the most basic features, especially template creation and all of the options (or lack of) formatting templates... I am just guessing and searching here, it's a waste of time. It seems to me (I'm very logical...) that most questions posted here would be unnecessary if there were a series of short youtube videos showing the basics.. getting started, setting up templates, syncing... it would take a couple of hours of developer time, and save more time answering questions here. Your customers would also appreciate having videos instead of searching through a forum, this forum is the mindset of a developer.. unnecessary.

@timo we can have a walkthrough pages explaining the features where we click bubble or next/prev steps when app is first installed.

And signin/cloud should be part of those steps before we go to calendar/timeline view all data will be synced.

Hello ~ I have downloaded this application and would like to start using it. However, I cannot find a user manual, a 'best practices' for set-up/starting, and/or anything helpful in the FAQ on Day One Setup. Does this not exist or am I looking in the wrong spot? I did see that there was a video from someone who uses a Mac and I can spend the time watching that video, but I would really prefer instructions for a PC. If someone could point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

CatherineLancaster Hi Catherine. No, you're right, there isn't an official user manual. Diarium is pretty straightforward, if you have a play, you should be able to figure things out. Any questions, please post on here. I'm on PC too so happy to help.

timo Yes - basic question from a new user: I made tags, but don’t know how to tag an entry! Thanks! Is there anything different about tagging a second entry on the same day? I’d like to make multiple entries on the same day but with different tags.

MarthaBergner Hi Martha. Just click the add tags icon at the bottom of the screen. You can type in new tags, or choose from the list of existing tags by ticking the box next to them.

There's nothing different to adding tags to multiple entries, each entry can have its own different tags.

Hello,
Just started using the app on Windows 11. Under Settings=>Feed=>Camera Roll. I turned this "On" but I don't see anything.

How is this supposed to work? Which pictures does it feed? I don't use desktop camera for photos; I only use Android phone and those photos are synced to OneDrive and/or Google Drive. Will Diarium feed those photos? Thank You.
