Pretty simple:
Select unorder (or ordered) lists, begin typing, push enter to start next list item, etc. Usually by the time I was entering the third bullet, all bullets would disappear and the curser would move to the middle of the page and all prior work would shift to the right.
If I left the day and come back in, all bullets still gone but everything back to left justified.
