Background colors other than white

Could you include some background color options? I don't think any already exist, but some relatively neutral colors would be nice. A parchment background would look great

Unfortunately you didn't include the info on what platform you are using the app on, even though it is asked for in the feature request template.

Diarium offers a dark theme that can be enabled in the app settings. On MacOS, the theme is automatically derived from the MacOS theme (which can be set in the MacOS settings)

Light mode is fine.

Dark mode is too dark for me on ios devices.
Little greyish bg looks better on eyes.
Ex:YouTube ios app bg

Same can be done for heading and description if possible

timo I feel like this is a subject where you can't please everybody. I, personally, absolutely hate the change and I think it looks bad on my OLED display. I'd suggest adding an option in the settings, like many apps do (Twitter, Apollo, Reddit). For example Dark Mode/Dark Mode (OLED). Where the first one is a darker grey and the second is full on black.

Along with bgcolor, text should also be distinguishable.
In above screenshot i added earlier, title is full white but subtitle is little bit greyer or i think it’s white with less opacity. This makes it to identify easily even in greyed bg.
Right now, both are white in diarium app in dark mode

@timo sorry to bother with little detalis like this.
But dark/pitch is still not helping me to distinguish heading from body. I am able to distinguish only when I change font to "Courier new"

PFA for different style for same entry. You can decide for yourself which looks good interms of visibility.

Akis I think I will add a "pitch black background" option to the next update, similar to the Android version

@timo what we have now ios/ diarium app 2.9.34 looks better than earlier version which was dark.

Was pitch black the previous state and you are going to put it back or this new change will in between?

Maybe an option to satisfy both the modes?

I actually liking grey colour than pitch black.

Even this community website/portal has grey background when dark mode is enabled.

Not sure what you mean, the heading is 2 font sizes large than the content text, no matter what color scheme or font you are using.

Font size is fine. I am asking about the colors of heading and body. colours are distinguishable only when font style is different.in this case courier new

But i see from other recent posts that you are going to add font color to the entries. That might help me instead. If this is going to be released soon, my request is to please provide default font color for heading and body that way i don't have to set it manually in every entry.
