Yes I did and your mail is still bookmarked.
It's just that I am still asking myself if it makes sense to invest into adding a migration of Evernote files. After all, this feature request doesn't get as much support from other users as other feature requests and there are so many of them... It's hard to prioritize. I'll have another look today.

Would also like to see this feature. Or really any path to migrating in from more general notetaking apps (e.g. OneNote, Evernote, Google Docs, Joplin, Obsidian, Notion, Zoho, Bear). Obviously capturing all of them doesn't make sense but many of these already have some method to migrate between the others or export to HTML. There's been a large exodus from Evernote so there's lots of support for moving those .enex files around to other apps already.

As for getting into the walled garden of formats supported by journaling apps...

Journey imports from Evernote
Day One imports from JSON or CSV
Diaro imports from Evernote, Dropbox Datastore (.csv)
Diarly imports CSV, text files (.txt) or markdown files (.md)

I can't vouch for the quality of any of those imports, and obviously having to use another app as an intermediary isn't ideal.

More concerning to me is I don't see options to export Diarium into standard formats (new user so maybe I'm just overlooking that).

Cat CSV, JSON, Markdown or plain text (TXT) are just (file) formats, but that doesn't mean that the app know how to interpret the data inside. Every app can structure their data differently into a JSON... You have to pre-format all that data for Diarly or the other apps to be able to read those files. There is no standard file format for exchanging journal data, so every app has to write a importer for every other app manually.

Diarium exports to HTML, DOCX, TXT, JSON and backs up to an SQLite database. If those aren't standard formats, what is it?

timo Ahhh ! so I have to convert the (enex ) Evernote back-up file to a (zip) file and then import it rather than just importing a straight (enex) file - I will give it a try Thx ..

timo I'm so glad it's possible to migrate from Evernote (which I've been using for 10+ years) to Diarium (which is my newfound best app/diary/journal/tracker)!!!

Is there a space limit in Diarium?
I don't exactly understand how to migrate.
I'll read the instructions again, but are you able to write in simple language? I'm not a computer pro. But I know stuff.

Oldgent Either that or import the enex directly. Both should work

Sarah_Smiles You can migrate from Evernote in the app settings using the "Migrate from other app" button - then select the Evernote export files (.enex file ending)

Can I export all of Evernotes at once, and import them all at once to Diarium?

Sarah_Smiles No, it imports by "note created", not the edit date. The app imports the entire ".enex" file that you specify
