I’ve been using Diarium since August of last year and really loved it. Around February this year, I started experimenting with Capacities for personal journaling and quickly grew to appreciate its unique features. It opened my eyes to different ways I could structure and organize my journaling that I hadn’t considered before.
Even with that, I often find myself coming back to Diarium, and I think there are two main reasons why:
Mobile use: Around 70–80% of my journaling is on my phone. For me, the Diarium editor on mobile feels much more fluid compared to other apps, especially when I’m writing long-form reflections. I can just open it and type without much friction.
Attachment: I also have a strong emotional and financial attachment to it. Since Diarium is a one-time payment (purchased both for my Android and Windows laptop), I feel like I should stick with it and fully utilize it. There’s always that sense of “maybe I haven’t used it to its full potential yet,” and that keeps me tied to it.
That’s why I wanted to ask: what are your use cases with Diarium? Do you use it only for journaling, or have you found other creative ways to integrate it into your workflow, like tracking habits, or even work-related stuff?
I’m really curious to see how others are making the most of it, since I often feel torn between sticking with Diarium and exploring other apps.
