Is it possible to use this app on my windows computer and have it sync to my apple phone?

I have a similar situation. I have an iPhone and bought a pro version and have been recording journal entries for over a year now with sync to iCloud. I want to (also, have to) buy the pro version for my Microsoft laptop.
1) Does it matter what email addresses I use for both those accounts, to have them ultimately sync? I assume yes.
2) If that is the case, how do I know which email address I used for my Apple app? I can't see it in the settings for the app. Is it automatically the email address for the Apple ID?
3) Also, it does not look like it is password-protected. If I go to enable that option, it gives me a warning that if I were to reset my password, it would also reset my diary, meaning I would lose my data!!?
4) Would I have to change the iCloud as a sync service and have something else if I want to be able to use Microsoft and Apple app?

I think there would be a large chunk of the population who have iPhone and windows PC, maybe you can create a dedicated page with step-by-step pictorial instructions on how it would work 🙂

It doesn't matter what accounts/emails you use for buying the app. Later you can select a different account when enabling the Cloud Sync.

The password-protection is unrelated to the Cloud Sync. If you forget your password (and need to reset the app or reinstall it as a consequence) the local data would be gone - but not the data that has been synced to the cloud, you could recover/download it from there

iCloud sync also works on Windows. I would recommend using OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox instead on however, as iCloud requires you to log in every 30 days on Windows.
