  • How to delete photos once added to entry??

Hello!! I have just downloaded Diarium and so far I love it, but i can't figure out how to delete photos once i've added them to an entry. If i add a tag, i can click and delete it just fine but if i click on a photo it just opens it in Preview (the default photo app for Macbooks). I can also hold down and switch the orders of the photo, but if i want to get rid of one i have to delete the whole entry. I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but i just can't figure it out. Thanks if you can help! 😄

Diarium version: 2.7.8
OS + version: macOS 11.2.3 (MacBook Pro)
(sorry i don't know a lot about computers)

Hi 🙂 You can delete added pictures by right-clicking them. Then a context menu with a "delete" option should show.
I possibly will add a dedicated "media" view to display attached photos inside the app in a future version. That view would then also contain a delete button.

"Right-clicking" didn't work for me...the Mac right-click function isn't working in Diarium as it does anywhere else. 🙁

AdrienneHewitt What picture were you right-clicking in particular? The automatically shown pictures from the "Camera Roll" (that have a small "photos" icon shown on the thumbnail) cannot be deleted (see FAQ)

I have the same problem. Cannot delete attached photos (that I attached myself, not camera roll) or files (pdf). Right click opens the file and does not give the option to delete. I'm using Diarium Version 2.8.19 (trial) on Mac mini M1 (2020) macOS Monterey Version 12.1. So far I really love the app except for this little hiccup...

Hanz Sounds like the right-click isnt working properly. Make sure to use whatever input / key combination that causes context menus to appear. The context menu on the photo does have the delete option

Hi Timo, thanks for your reply. The right click is working fine in every other app and works in the text area of Diarium but not to delete attachments. I'enabled force click of the Magic Trackpad and that brings up the delete dialogue box OK.
It's just weird that this right click issue only exists in Diarium...
I'm wondering if it has anything to do with how the extended apple keyboard (that I use) functions?
Other than this, the app appears rock solid and is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

      Hi Timo,
I am new on Diarium, but I experience the same TS.
I can't delete neither pictures nor templates, and my right click works just fine.
I also have the same issue someone else posted a long ago: when I select a template, it displays the same text used to create it. And when I create a blank one, I can't choose the text format.
