"jump to day" feature crashes Diarium after several uses

Diarium crashes after using "jump to day" several times. Sometimes on the third use, others on perhaps the 4th use. It is a very handy feature and that is useful for jumping around approximately 7 years of entries.

I have had it crash in both Calendar and Timeline views. Sometimes the program freezes, other times it completely disappears.

Diarium version: 2.9.60.1
OS + version: Windows 10

I've experienced the same thing. Even on the first use. Usually the program just shuts down.

I think I know where the crash originates from and I have fixed this in the code yesterday already. Will upload a v2.9.61 version soon, please let me know if that resolves the issue for you.
I did a lot of rework on the calendar page as well as the toolbar (the "jump to date" button was introduced with the latest version) and it's impossible to release a new feature without some bugs (at least for me 😃)

The "jump to date" button seems to work now without causing any crashes. Thanks for the quick response!
Is "toolbar" the text editing bar that appears when you mark text? If so I noticed this behavior after the recent update: when I click on the 3 dots menu at the far right of the toolbar ("see more") a window appears for a split second then immediately disappears, so fast you can't see what more options are available.
Bugs in new features are probably normal, a developer reacting so quickly like you is not normal. 👍

Can you explain in more detail what is not working or maybe share a screenshot?

timo Sorry, by "toolbar" I meant the small text editing bar that only appears when you mark or right click text. In this text editing bar the 3 dot menu ("show more") doesn't work. Clicking on it causes the text editing bar to close.
Everything in the toolbar in your screenshot works fine.

Jump to day seems to be working fine for me too. Also commend the quick response.
It would be very nice if you could link the 'jump to day' so that both the calendar and timeline are set to the same date.

TerMoe I have noticed this too. The way round it is to not click the 3 dot menu when the editing bar appears but to right click the selected text instead. The editing bar will then appear with the 3 dot menu options already open and displayed.

This sounds like a windows problem. Diarium doesnt do or didn't change anything regarding that bar in recent updates. I would recommend restarting Windows, maybe that fixes it
