I just bought the pro version on my android phone. If I want it to sync it to the Windows desktop app, do I have to buy the pro version for windows too? And will they then sync? Is that a straight forward process? ALso where do I buy the pro version for windows if necessary?

I bought the pro version on iPhone and I'm trying to buy it on my Mac as well but I don't see anywhere I can purchase a pro version on Mac. The App Store only offers "open" as an option and I don't see a separate pro version purchase option. I've clicked around in Diarium on my Mac under "Preferences," "Sync," and "Settings," and I don't see a purchase option there either.

Coombs You can buy the Pro version on macOS in the Diarium app itself, using the "Pro version" button on the side bar (right next to the "sync now" and "Settings" buttons). If it's not there, this means you have already bought it - maybe some time ago and you forgot about it? 🙂

timo i was wondering if the Pro version is available in India? I am trying to purchase it but then Play Store throws an error and asks me to check if I've chosen the correct country. I am in India currently and in my Google profile it is set as India. I have no clue on which side the error is. Do you have any insights into this? Probably if similar cases have occurred earlier.

Saad Yes the Pro version should be available in India. This sounds like a Google (Store) problem. Are you able to purchase other apps, just not Diarium? If it's an error shown by Google in the purchase sheet (which I think it is) I would recommend googling the error message for more information

timo yeah I think it is Google Play issue. Weird thing. It gave location error even though I am in India currently. I'll probably create another Google account and buy using that.

By the way, just to confirm if I buy Pro here in India and then move to another country, say US, will the Pro still run on my phone (Android)? I am not well versed with licenses.

I want to buy the pro version via Google Play, I am not in Russia. Payment is not possible via Google Play. I realized that you can pay via https://timopartl.gumroad.com/l/diarium_android but in this case it will cost $20, not $10!?

GalinaRepina This is correct. I would prefer to not having to offer that alternative at all (and I dont link to it publicly), it is only there as kind of "last resort" for people who cannot purchase through the Play Store

I have purchased the Pro Version for both android through Google play and Microsoft for my PC.
It has worked great until today. I try to sync and I am told that I have to buy the Pro version.
I am very frustrated. I already verified that I am properly logged in to Play Store. I have restarted devices and double checked for app updates.
Please help.

Yes, I followed those instructions. I am logged in to the proper account. I tried to purchase again and it wants to charge me again to purchase the pro version.

BethBrown Then the app is not connected to a Google account with an active license. Maybe you logged in with a different Google account to your Play Store app (please note that it doesn't matter what account you use for the Cloud Sync - it matters what account is used in your Play Store app). You can check the Purchase history for your Google account here: https://payments.google.com/ - you will never see the Diarium Pro version show up there twice for the same Google account. As I wrote in the FAQs above, it can get messy when using multiple Google accounts on a single device. Unfortunately, this is how Google implemented it and there's not much a developer can do to manually "select" a specific account, the app don't see that information. They bascially only get the signal "app bought" or "app not bought".

BethBrown It is not possible to buy the Diarium Pro version twice with the same Google account. If you would in fact have to pay again, then this would happen with a different account and you would not see the purchaes on the same purchase history page. Otherwise this would be a bug/problem on the side of Google.

It is possible that multiple Google accounts are registered on a single Android device in which case it is possible that the Google Play Store uses one or the other.

Yes absolutely. As long as you're using the same Google account there should be no issue
