Ben Hi Ben, I think I've commented on this either somewhere in this (now pretty long) thread or elsewhere in the forums (e.g. here and here): please understand that I am not able to look into the future and can give promises on what happens in it. At the moment I have no plans to switch to a subscriptions or make other changes to how the Pro version works, and there haven't been any changes in the last 9 years, since the app was first published. But I cannot give you any guarantee, and neither can give any other app developer or company, even if they say they are. There have been countless of cases where a company promised something, just to break it some time later.

Geez Louise. I have a Mac, iPhone, and iPad. They all have the latest operating systems. How many purchases do I need to make?

While it is irritating, there is no issue with cost. But, how do I know that I will have one Diary? Will they all synch together?

Mr Blue Sorry you find it confusing. I tried to explain it in the post above, with this example:

Example: You want to use the Pro Version (e.g. the Cloud Sync) on five devices: two Android phones, one iPhone, one iPad and one MacBook. The Pro Version then needs to be purchased 3 times (once for Android, once for iOS, once for macOS).

For your setup you'd need to get it twice: once for macOS and once for iOS ("iPadOS" technically is iOS, so you don't need a separate purchase for your iPad).

I've read the notice, but I'm a bit confused for my situation. I have the pro version for Windows which I downloaded through Gumroad, I didn't get through the Microsoft store. How do I download Diarium for my new Windows device without having to pay a second time on Gumroad? Thanks.

SabrinaJ When you bought the app on Gumroad, you can simply use the same installer you got after the purchase on your other Windows device

I purchased Diarium for my WIndows about a year ago, then I deleted the app, but I want to install it again. I still have it on my phone, but it seems to me that to reinstall it on my laptop using the link I used the first time I have to pay for it again? What link can I use to get the app for my Windows again?

AceVisconti If you bought it on the Microsoft Store, you can re-install it from the Microsoft Store using the same Microsoft account

I purchased the pro version on my phone which operates on Samsung Galaxy and my macbook air isn't allowing mny data to sync. Whatever I record on the laptop doesn't sync with the phone. This is very frustrating and had I known the two wouldn't align I woulnd't have purchased the pro. My goal is to simplify and minimilize the applications I use to organize my work. Can you please help me link my account? Thank you and I look forward to hearing back.

MaryBary I'm sorry you feel that way, I understand the frustration. But it's noted how the pro version works directly on the Pro version page. The "buy" button explicitly says for what platform you are buying the app for. What can I do to make this even more clear, to avoid misunderstanding and frustration?

This is probably dumb, but how do I update my app? I don't find it in the app itself (on Windows), and if I go to the Windows store, it wants to charge me again. I'm getting a synching error (which you said on the forum should be fixed), but the app told me to check "the store" to see if there was an update. The weird thing is that the phone app seems to be able to synch just fine. I am not have Internet connectivity issues with any other program.

LizShaw Where did you buy/install the app from originally? What app version are you currently using? Can you explain in more detail how the app "told you" to check the store? What there a dialog or button or something similar?
