Sync issue with Windows and Android

Hi,
First of all thanks for a great development.
Unfortunately I keep getting this message, which is alarming:

Currently the message is displayed in my Windows app. This is incompatible with my actions - since I did not open the app for at least a week, and the last time I opened it there were maybe a few dozen entries, no more than a hundred.
Last night I merged ₃₀₀ entries from a previous journal app (Daybook) in my Android phone, so it makes sense that the Android app (i.e. "remote database") would be modified more recently, and also have much more entries.
This is a problematic situation. I obviously don't want to lose any data.
For now, to be on the safe side, I will just avoid using the Windows app, although it is paid for.
Please advise...

This message shows when the app believes that there is a conflict. This can happen when editing the database on two different devices without a sync happening in between.
I would recommend to create a database backup on both devices (in the app settings) and then click "upload" in the dialog (as the local database has more entries). If there is any data lost in the process, you can still go back to the previous states by importing the backups

In my opinion this solution is no good. It is impractical that I go through all 300+ entries and make sure nothing was deleted. I need to know I can trust your sync mechanism 100%, and that there's no way to lose any data. This is a completely crucial requirement for using your app.
And regarding the message - I understand of course why it appeared, but as I'd explained - this was not the case. I only worked on my Android device, the Windows app was not used for more than a week. So it should have been really simple - the Windows app should have just been updated with the new entries from Android. Why that didn't happen - that's beyond my understanding, or my responsibility... but as I said, it is inconsistent with my actions, which were in fact very trivial.

idansass If you can provide me with exact steps of what you did I can try to reproduce it. Please also tell me what database had what amount of entries on each step. What exact amount of entries did the imported Daybook database have?
As you can see, the Windows app somehow synced 326 entries. Maybe you have deleted some entries on your Android after you imported the Daybook data bringing the entry count down to 308? In that case this could be the expected behavior.

But you're right - after importing from Daybook (through Android) I noticed there are some duplicates so I deleted some.
Maybe the Windows app managed to sync in the background, BETWEEN the import time and the duplicate deletion time? Even if it wasn't actively opened? It seems strange, because the deletion was immediately after the import. But could be...
Thank you for your suggestion, I decided to go with the remote (Android) database.

Yes, those entries very likely synced to the Windows app in the background (without you opening the app). It can always happen that some edge-case causes this dialog. Ideally it is never shown to users and the app just figures out "the right thing" itself. Did you experience any data loss after all?
