Google Drive Sync Failing?

I have Diarium 2.9.33 on a macOS Ventura 13.0 Macbook and Diarium 2.9.29 on my Android 13 phone. They are both sync'd to the same Google Drive account.

My phone has entries for Oct 22, 23, and 28. My computer has entries for Oct 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, but not 28. When I ask both to sync, they both say "Local and remote databases already in sync". How do I get my phone to download the October 24, 25, 26, 27 and upload the 28th entries?

timo They are not. Both are connected to the Google Drive account with the email address attached to this forum account.

I just opened Diarium on my Mac again. It told me that the remote diary had a different number of entries than the local diary and it asked if I want to download or upload. I was confused about this because I just want it to sync, so I clicked "Download" and now my Mac lost the entries for October 24, 25, 26, and 27. How can I get those back?

Instead of asking to download/upload, shouldn't the system be merging the database in the case of discrepancy instead of overwriting one or the other? I'd rather have duplicate entries than lose entries altogether.

It looks like I'm able to get old versions of the v4_database file out of Google Drive. It doesn't appear to be a sqlite database or zipfile. Can you share how I might be able to extract entries out of that file so that I can manually merge the contents?

There must have been some conflict because of editing the database on two different devices without having the app sync in between. You can try to restore the old version of the v4_database but because the sync also deletes unneeded media files you might also have to restore those.
