Keeps jumping down to bottom of the page

Every so often while writing a diary entry, the page will jump to the very bottom. The cursor/ text line will stay where it is so if you type again it will jump back up, however it is quite irritating.

It started doimg this after I updated my phone to one UI 5.0

OS + version: OneUI 5.0

Can you provide a screen capture video with instructions on how to reproduce this? I am unable to see this problem on my devices.
Sounds like a problem with OneUI if it just started recently. I do not have a device with OneUI 5.0 unfortunately

Hi thanks for the reply. The issue is really bad and I'm going to have to stop using the app if it continues. It seems to be an issue with oneui 5 as they changed how scrolling works but thus is the only app with this issue. I have screen recordings of the issue but it says they're too big to upload!

In what way did Samsung change how scrolling works? Sounds like they are interfering with the Android standard.

That sounds like a Samsung keyboard problem that has been reported here previously. Samsung just love to messes things up. Try to use the Google keyboard and see if that fixes maybe both problems

Thanks for the videos, that really looks like a very frustrating experience!
As I've said, unfortunately I don't have a device with OneUI 5.0, only a Samsung A52 with OneUI 4 - I don't know if or when Samsung will update this phone to OneUI 5.0.
If the problem persists, I will probably have to buy a OneUI 5.0 phone in order to research this in more depth
