Multiple diaries?

Hi Timo,

Thanks again for this amazing app.

I follow the comments, it is really a need to be able to have at least two different diaries.

To open a new one on a different device is not a solution, as you can imagine. I like to have one sync, not several ones, one place of storage, etc.

Could it be possible at least to log out and log in with a second separate account on the same device?

I do not see this option, to use one device for different diaries.

I can understand this is may require a fundamental change as a n:m relationship to enter and handle multiple entries per day and structure these in a high level view as well as integrate this in the existing functionality.
Having a "travel log", "success journal", "personal diary" etc would nevertheless be a great addition!

I need this feature too, to have a fitness diary, a apersonal diary, the diary I write in a blog...

I would also like multiple diaries, one for personal information and one for notes I keep for bookings on a hall I manage. Presently have to do this using OneNote and certainly is not as user friendly as having an additional diary on this program.

Ich vote auch für multiple Tagebücher!
Eigentlich braucht man dafür (unsichtbar auf Datenbankebene) nur eine weitere Tag-Ebene "Tagebuch" , die automatisch gesetzt wird - je nachdem in welchem Tagebuch man gerade ist - und die in allen Filtern ausgewertet wird (Ansichten, Export).
Nur mit den vorhandenen einfachen #Tags bekommt man die Funktionalität, welche multiple Tagebücher bieten würden, nicht wirklich gut hin.

Actually, all you need for this (invisible at database level) is another tag level “diary”, which is set automatically - depending on which diary you are currently in - and which is evaluated in all filters (views, export).
Only with the existing simple #tags you can't really achieve the functionality that multiple diaries would offer.

This is probably the only thing that a lot of us really miss from other journal apps. Obviously we undertand that you Timo don't have enough time to implement it.

Yes, I hope to add this at some point in the future! It think it would be a great addition to the app. But a lot of problems to solve to get this right, I will focus on easier tasks first...

Thanks for this nice app, I 'm using it on Win & iOS for approx. 2 years What I'm really missing is to use 2 separate vaults, one private and one for business. In the past I handled it teo ways:

separate folders on my webdav, business PC connected only with business vault and private PC only connected with private vault.
My iPhone only connected with business vault.
using only one vault but using tags (#private / #business)

Both workarounds are .... just workarounds. :-/ No nice solutions since I would like to use my iPhone for both parts and nevertheless keep the data separately.

So PLEASE consider this feature.

Since you (and I) hate subscriptions, you also could consider "premium features" with extra payment. It would be OK for me to pay 5€ for this feature as onetime payment.

I'm really liking using this app to log business activities for my plant nursery. While I thought multiple journals would be a nice idea, I'm convinced that tags instead meets my needs. Allows me to basically think of entries as belonging to different non-overlapping chapters. The thing I appreciate about this app is its relative simplicity. It just works and it doesn't really need a manual. Supporting multiple journals certainly brings up a host of issues and probably leads to a tabbed view. My vote is to keep the operation and UI simple.

Tags are great but better to seperate diaries for seperate map, calendar etc.
