Tab no longer indents the sentence.

Good morning,

I used to be able to hit the Tab key and indent the sentence I was about to write, as you can in Word or in emails. Now when I press it I am taken to the First Button at the bottom of the entry.

Is this intended?

Yes this was an intended change, see here. You still add tabs by using the CTRL+TAB key combination. Would this work for you or is this too complicated?
The default behavior of Windows apps is for the focus to jump to the next focusable UI element so the behavior previously was non-standard.
Would it be possible for you to give some more details on how/why you are using the tab to indent? I personally never use tab in Mails or Word. Just trying to better understand how others are using it.

Thanks timo. Let me add some input here. Normally I'll use indentations to organize a list of contents with hierarchies. Like this:

- quick recap of product release last week
- feature discussion on Ph. II
- backlog discussion
Interview w/ a new engineer
- qualified
- nice personality
- should arrange next interview w/ HR
Monthly report drafting (Nov. 22)
- team performance
- product iterations
- team expense
  - note on Nov 11 purchases
  - Kevin's laptop fix

Currently this can be done by manually type spaces, but it looks kind of weird. Not sure if the default Markdown behavior make sense here?

Damn, you really do come back quick! sorry I missed this. Thank you for explaining it to me. I must be old school and I use it all the time. the Key combo you mentioned works great, thank you.

Hans Hi timo @timo .I think I've got what is going on with this indentation feature. I searched through the forum and found in a post that you mentioned it would not be easy to implement on all four platforms. I totally understand that because other than WebViews, it is definitely not easy to handle text rendering with native view components. So I think for now I'll try to change my way of using the app, like turing multi-level listings to grouped paragraphs. But hopefully we could finally have this in the WYSIWYG editor.
