Adding hashtag features within the body text.

Would it be possible to allow hashtags within the body to be linked to tag feature?

IE - typing in #BadDay would highlight and link to listing of all other entries that contain the same tag.

Although the current tag feature is nice it only tags the specific day, sometimes (especially for long entires) it would be nice to add hashtags throughout the text so when I'm looking for something particular I don't have to read the entire entry to find what I'm looking for. This would also make it easier to add tags as you go along writing instead of after the fact.

Mike Yeah, the Finch app does this and it's really nice. It also provides data on commonly associated patterns, i.e. if the word "stress" comes up a lot on days where a certain person is tagged - can help identify potentially undiscovered associations/trends.

I'd love to take it a step further and convert hashtags in the body to actual tags on the entry itself. This would cut down on the need to use the menu to add hashtags as you type.

Super like! Works better in place of creating a tracker or something… typing and creating a list of tags is very welcome! 🙏

Yes, loved this also. This will save us time, going back and forth in tag sections where you can easily type in.

The microsoft todo app has a similar thing implemented. But it has a subtle difference, adding a # as a prefix doesn't really create a separate tag but works as a very quick filter when clicking on it . eg books -> #books gets a different formatting and is clickable. when clicking it, it searches all the entries which contain #books . It can work perfectly on the side of the 'classic' tags, keeping the tags for bigger categories (and avoiding an overstructured hierarchy of tags) and allowing for a more ad-hoc type of connecting entries. For me, it would be a convenient feature, so if this gains enough traction and gets implemented, I would be very glad.
