I think, maybe what he means, is having the ability to put pictures next to text that explains what the picture is about ... A previous diary app I used every entry had a time stamp (editable, but not deletable), an entry could be a picture ... What it meant was when you printed the diary out every entry was in chronological order & pictures made more sense showing next to other entries in that similar time frame.
I really love Diarium so have just gotten used to how it handles entries & pictures. I'll never go back to the other app, but admittedly I did like being able to read diary entries with pictures showing 'when' in the day they occurred
