Unable to paste an screenshot (Mac)

I'm not sure whether this is a bug or if it functions as it should.

On occasion, I wish to capture a screenshot by utilizing the MacOS function that copies a portion of the screen to the clipboard. Subsequently, I will transfer the screenshot to Diarium and attach it to the day's entry as an attachment. I press command-V to paste, but nothing happens. The picture doesn't get copied as an attachment or into the diary entry. So I have to open a graphics editor, paste the picture in, and save it as a file before I can add it to the day's entry.

Diarium version: 3.1.88
OS + version: MacOS 26.1
Device model: MacBook Pro M4

A screenshot on macOS isnt put into the clipboard and pasting into the text field doesnt find a screenshot in the text field. Other macOS apps have the same behavior, e.g. the Apple Mail app.
When making a screenshot, it shows a preview on the bottom right and you can drag and drop it into the Diarium window - does that work for you?
