Trackers only allowing numeric values

I'd like to record weather data and have set up a "Weather" tracker, but when I attempt to enter words, only numbers are allowed and the rest of the keyboard is frozen. I have read in multiple places that adding text to trackers is allowed. What am I missing? This happens on both the device listed here and my iPhone, the 2 places use to make entries. In all other ways, this app is beautiful, functional and intuitive. So maybe this is not a bug in the program, but a bug in my user-brain. Can anyone assist?

When creating a tracker, you can choose between "numeric" and "textual" tracker. It looks like you've created a numeric tracker that only allows numeric values. You need to create a different tracker 🙂

Oh my, the drop down menu that allows you to toggle between these selections is so small I didn't notice it was there and only saw the default numerical choice! It was a definitely a bug in the user-brain causing this problem and that is now fixed. Thank-you so much!
