How do I Import from Apple Journal App on Macos to Diarium?

Hello folks,

Just bought Diairium and am trying to import my entries from Apple Journal to it but I can't seem to get it to work. Apple Journal doesn't export the entries as a zip file. Any ideas on how it is supposed to be done?

Yajee You can migrate from Apple Journal in the app settings using the "Migrate from other app" button 🙂

timo Hello. But Diarium is asking for a .zip file and Apple Journal is not giving me any option to export as a zip file?

Edit: ignore me, just compressed the file on Mac and all is good now. Thanks.

Yajee In my tests the Apple Journal exported .zip files but that might have changed, I will see again and also check out the Mac app that I have not used yet

Yajee While I have your attention, can I ask whether the location is added automatically for each entry or do I need to select it each time? Is there a setting for it to be added automatically?

Yes it has changed, it's exporting as html I think it was. I just right clicked and compressed the file and it worked.
