Removing Locations from the map (that will not be used again)

OS + version: Chromebook
How do I remove a city or location from the Location map.
I travel a lot and the top of the map is being loaded with city's and locations that I will not be visiting again. it's starting to get very cluttered with useless tag buttons.

The locations are ordered by the amount they were used - if you don't re-visit locations, they will eventually be sorted further down (or in this case further right) of the list
