'Add to Dictionary' Doesn't Seem to be Working

Hi,

When I'm writing a journal entry and I use a slang term that the app (and/or Windows) doesn't recognize, I get the usual red line under it indicating a grammar error. I right-click the word (have tried simply right-clicking and also highlighting the entire word and right-clicking) and choose "add to dictionary." The red line goes away and stays away as long as I stay in the same viewing session with the entry. However, whenever I save the entry and it closes and then I re-open it to read it, all the red lines on all words I previously added to dictionary return as if I never added them.

I used the app on Windows 10 for several years and I don't recall this being an issue.

Is there something I can do to remedy?

Upon further research I've discovered this appears to be a Windows thing. For reasons I don't yet understand, Win11 is only adding one word to my custom dictionary at a time, and bumping the previously added word in the process, and then resetting and clearing the custom dictionary completely moments later. When I went to the C:\Users\LK\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Spelling\neutral folder and opened the default.dic file in notepad, I could add all the words from the journal entry manually. Once I saved that file all the red lines in the entry went away and stayed away even after I saved the entry and it closed, and I came back to read it. I could also now see the complete list of added words when I viewed them at settings>privacy and security>inking and typing personalization>custom dictionary instead of just one added word like before.

Very odd OS behavior that it would only allow one word at a time when added from Diarium, and then reset the custom dictionary completely sometime later.

Win10 never did this.
