More columns on file view + filters for files

I would like to suggest the possibility of viewing the files (specifically the images) in 1 or 3 columns, and the possibility of filtering the files (e.g. see images from June-September 2024).

Sometimes I want to see all the images from a period, but I have to scroll down to the period or see entry by entry, and I only want to see the images. With two columns it takes a long time to get to older dates and it is harder to have a broader view of the period. I end up having to use other apps to keep a photo diary, and it is quite annoying to have to upload to two apps when I could be using just one.

What do you suggest how this should be implemented? What user interface elements should be provided and what functionality should they have? Do you know any other apps that found a smart way to accomplish this?

images and maps are missing filter functionality that we have with search page

pinch zoom in/out would be an option or small icons with different size/column

Yes, something like that would be great. For the visualization, other option would be to choose in the settings the size of the image grid. I have been using OneDrive, which also uses the pinch zoom and has the options to group by day, month and year.
