I’ve been on Facebook since what feels like the prehistoric internet era—documenting my kids growing up, one status update and photo at a time. Now they’re grown, and scrolling through my timeline feels like digging through a digital attic full of memories (and the occasional cringey post). Honestly, I’m not even sure how much of that history Facebook still keeps, or for how long.
These days, I mostly use Facebook like a personal journal—tagging places, logging events, and jotting down moments—many of which are set to “Only Me” (because some things are best left between me and future-me at 3 a.m.).
What I’d love is a way to safely export or import those posts into a platform I actually intend to keep using long-term—like Diarium. I’m ready to make the switch to something more focused and permanent for journaling, and being able to take my Facebook history with me would make that transition so much easier.
And while we’re at it… it would be amazing to also import Facebook Events into Diarium—those have marked some really important chapters of my life too.
I know this kind of request has come up before, but please reconsider. It would mean a lot to sentimental digital packrats like me who’ve poured years of memories into Facebook. Thank you for listening!
