Data did not transfer when I changed phones

Hello, I have version 3.1.29 and I have just changed phones. I use Diarium for evidence of domestic violence and it has all my save photos of my injuries and events that have happened over the past years, can someone please help me restore this. I did not have the pro version, as i did not realise I would lose all the data.

Where should it be restored from when the cloud sync hasn't been used? Diarium shows a warning prompt every 30 days if the sync is not enabled that warns about data loss, e.g. in the case of stolen/lost devices. Was that dialog not visible or clear enough. Where did you expect the data to be stored except on the device itself? I'd really want to avoid any cases of data loss, so any feedback helps

I would assume that all the data would transfer from one phone to another, like every other app, but no!! Never got a data loss warning on s24 (data has been there for 12 mths without loss), only when i got the s25 (in the last couple of weeks). Why doesn't the data transfer between phones? You want to avoid cases of data loss, I have lost every bit of evidence I have relating to DV, so maybe a warning that if you change phones, no data comes with you. I would never have used this app if I knew it wouldn't transfer over. Thank you for your constructive help!!

LeeAnne I am sorry for any problems. The data is stored on your device only by default and to transfer it, you need to do a manual backup or enable the cloud sync. If there was never any warning about risk of data loss, then the cloud sync was enabled and you can restore the data from there. But as you said you didn't own the Pro version, this is unlikely. I will consider making the warning more visible, perhaps non-dismissible for a few seconds as well, so it cannot be missed.
