I tried to bring over a video from the journey app and it was one gig so it didn't let me because only 300 MB are allowed. But if that's the case then how am I allowed to bring over the entire diary from Journey with all the videos. Will that be different? Will diarium accept videos that size? Or is there a work around to this

There are other threads here in the forums where I already comment on these limitations. Diarium isn't a video management software, it's a journal app that allows short/small video attachments.
I looked at the app's code and at the moment the app shouldn't migrate any videos when migrate from Journey, just the text, tags and photos - perhaps because Journey didn't support videos when I implemented this feature. Do they support videos now?

Yes that's the only thing I use journey for is to record video diaries. Some of them are up to a gigabyte. 5 minutes long

I'll look into the Journey migration again and see if i can migrate videos also (if possible), but I won't loosen the 32 MB limit

Oh that's not worth it don't worry about it 32 MB would be very very small these are all at least a half a gigabyte. It's okay this app was worth a try thank you . very happy to support you anyway

JeffgorelowG I don't know how the Journey video attachments work, but Diarium always re-encodes and compresses them before adding to the database. A 500 MB 4K video can be compressed a lot, perhaps under 32 MB, depends on the FPS, resolution, bitrate etc

I had another look at this and tried to implement video migration for Journey backups, but it seems like Journey now locked the backup functionality behind the paywall and ask for a subscription (which I will not buy).
So if anyone can provide me with a .zip Journey backup that includes a video file, I'm happy to look into this
