Instagram connection details

Hi, have sync turned on and was wondering what should appear? public photos? Items from my story? I would prefer to show items from my story for close friends, but I'm unsure if the connection is locally cached in some way or just a link loads when that you show the entry for the day.

charlener0 The Instagram integration should load the media (photos + videos) that you posted on a given day. It does not support stories.
I am using this endpoint: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/instagram-basic-display-api/reference/user/media
The received media is cached inside the app for up to an hour. That means, when you open todays entry now, there might be no media displayed. Then you post a picture on Instagram shortly after and reload the day in Diarium -> still now picture. When you wait an hour and then reload the page in Diarium again, the media will show

It's sad that stories aren't supported, because that's what I was looking for when I found this thread. But at least in iOS Stories are saved by insta tot the Photos Library automatically and you can import them from there.

Does it sync past posts on instagram when enabling the toggle, or just the new ones?

The feature doesn't sync entries or add entries based on Instagram posts - the feature simply displays your posts in the entries on the corresponding days
