macOS app freeze when adding bullets to existing text

Diarium version: 3.1.15
OS + version: macOS 15.2
Device model: MacBook pro

This has happend before, but I've not seen it for a while:

I was writing a new entry to catch up on a previous day and time.
I moved the cursor to the start of a line of existing text, where I decided a list would be better.
I pressed the bullet list icon in the formatting bar.
Diarium froze (spinning psychedelic beach ball of doom) .

While it was hanging I took a "sample" and a "spin dump", but I don't really know what they are. But if they are of use, let me know and I can send them someplace.

Unfortunately I am not able to reproduce it and I have no hint on what the cause for this could be.
You can send me the files you gathered via mail and I can have a look, but I am sceptical that I can get many useful information out of them.
You can provide steps on how to reproduce such issue reliably, this would be ideal. Sometimes these problems are also caused by macOS and the text engine that is running the text contro, in which case there is basically nothing I can do

Yes - I'll send the files over. It's can't reliably reproduce this either. The only thing I was wondering is that I have auto sync enabled, and if that was being triggered as I was hitting the bullet point icon. Otherwise, I've no idea!

Thanks for the files. The stack trace contains a lot of method calls from the NSTextView layouting, so there's a good chance the problem is somewhere in the macOS code. After you restarted the app, did you try to place the cursor at the same location and add the list?

timo I did - and it worked the second time. I had to re-type the last part of my entry (which was easy as I had a screen grab), but the first half of the post had been saved in case that's relevant.
