SilvertoGold Some versions ago, I was able to copy coloured text from elsewhere and paste it into Diarium on my Mac desktop. Diarium would retain that colour. Now I find it doesn't. Has anything changed? Thanks.
timo Can you please give an example of what text you copy? Ideally some sort of web link so I can reproduce the problem myself
SilvertoGold timo I copied (Cmd C on Mac) the red text from MacJounal and pasted it into Diarium. See attachments. The red colour does not carry over. It used to until recently, but no longer does.
timo It's possible that the "MacJournal" app doesn't store the color information in the clipboard. Does the color carry over when pasting into the Apple Notes or TextEdit app? I am a bit hesitant to install apps coming from outside the App Store just for testing this. Can you share an example from a website or an app that can be downloaded from the App Store?
SilvertoGold timo I tested it using TextEdit as well as Apple Notes. No luck. The colour does not carry over.
timo SilvertoGold I am not sure if the "Notes" app accepts pasting coloerd text, but TextEdit should (at least in my tests). But if your copied text doesn't paste as colored text there, that looks like a problem of the MacJournal app, or not?
SilvertoGold timo I think you misunderstood. The problem persists with both TextEdit and Apple Notes. The colour from those apps does not carry over into Diarium.
timo Now I understand, thanks. I was able to reproduce the problem when copy-pasting text from TextEdit to Diarium. TextEdit didn't share the content as HTML, but as RTF, which wasn't handled by the app before. It will be with the next app update.
