Search: Results list, replace, search within a page

Currently, the search function - as far as I can see - is only available on a global level, and it does not offer replacements. When I enter a search word, I see extracts of pages listed where the search word was found (in a quick try I did in my diary, there were also pages listed where I could not find the word). The found word is even highlighted in the search results list which is great, however not for all pages where it was supposedly found.
What I need as I have many longer texts in my diary:
a) A search that lists the pages containing the search word more reliably, and highlights all occurences of the word within a page when I open it from the search results list.
b) In the search result list, list all the paragraph(s) were the search word was found, not only the first 3 text lines of a page where the search word was found.
c) A search that is available within a page, highlighting all occurences of a search word (ideally with color)
d) Find & replace feature, optionally globally or restricted to the open page

Ougenweyde I am also missing search and replace. I use swift key to type on my mobile and it keeps making the same mistypes, for example it writes is instead of oss (us in Swedish). I'd like to be able to fix these errors with search and replace.

I would also be happy if the search offered more. Currently, only the search for one word is possible.
Searching for several words and reliably marking them in the respective pages...unfortunately doesn't always work for me.

I agree with above. Following search functionality I interprete out of this and I'd really appreciate:

Search with multiple phrases combined with AND or OR (search of contained text AND tags - for tags I thing a approved/planned feature request is already in the pipeline)
Search with wildcards for finding contained phrases in combination with
Search and replace functionality
It might be required to add multiple entries as feature requests. Please judge @timo .

Same here, really would want to search within the page (diary entry). Extra's, like combining search words, and 'search & replace' would be nice, but just being able to do a simple search on a page/entry would be of great help already.

I would love to have search and replace functionality. Ex. I mistyped someone's name in all three years of diary and I can't go back and edit name one by one since its over 500 entries. Also lets say I always wrote urologist but i want to change it to dr. xyz urologist so search and replace would be way more needed. Please work on this feature when you can. Thanks!

HI, are we any nearer having a search and replace text function? I authored a significant number of my tag names before spaces were allowed, and would love to rename them with spaces included.

Am I right to think that currently I would have to do that one entry at a time?

Currently there are no plans to work on this in the near future, sorry.
You would have to edit the tags one by one, in the tag overview page (right click -> edit)

If searching within a page became available, it would be very very helpful. I really miss it, having long entries sometimes and not being able to find what I am looking for. Thanks for considering.

YtzenLont Is there any update on this request? I mean, maybe it's technically not possible, then so be it. If it's in the making, I'd be very happy to know.

What I do now to search through an entry, is to Copy All, and Paste it into a Word or Google document, and once I've found what I'm looking for, then go back to Diarium. It works but it's very time consuming, so it would be great if it were possible to search within a Diarium entry itself.

That's ok with me. FWIIW.

Each writer/user can use Diarium in a different way, of course. But, my wrting is so much "here and now" that searching way back is not someting I do.

Please, please, please allow us to search for text within an entry.
I pressed Command-F on my Mac tonight and was stunned to find I couldn't search within the page. This is such an important feature.

I agree that either offering a search option within an entry or highlighting the search text within the entry from the search results list is essential. My entries are usually quite long and having to scan through them looking for the search text is a pain. If it can highlight the words in the first few lines of the results list why can this not also be carried through to the entry when it's opened? The app knows the entry contains the search criteria otherwise it wouldn't be in the results list? I'm using the Android version.
