Notification at the wrong time

I I have notification set up to give me an "on this day" look back reminder at 8:00 p.m. but it always comes in a different time, not at 8:00.

At what time does it come? From you screenshot I see that you have set the tiem for the daily reminder notification at 8 PM. But the "On this day" notification is a different type of notification and it shows every day at 12 PM.

Apps on Android can only "ask" the operating system to delive a notification at a certain time, but Android doesn't guarantee the exact delivery. This is due to battery optimization. Only apps that are required to run at exact times (e.g. alarm clocks) can avoid that limitation. So not a bug in Diarium I would say
