I have the iPhone version and also the laptop/desktop version. Do I need to buy individual licenses for both!? If so, that is idiotic. No other app forces me to do that.

It's also clearly noted in the app right before you purchase.
It is also clearly noted in the app description in the App Store.
And there are dozens of similar posts about the same topic here in the forums.

Can you give me an example of a (journal) app that is cheaper? That has cross-platform sync with a single purchase? Basically all apps I know of charge expensive subscriptions.

I am having the same issue, i bought the desktop pro version and it syncs with. my iPhone but its asking me to buy the pro version on my phone! Darium, can you please fix this issue!

Oh, I’m having an issue on my iPhone that I did some online research for and have no Answers.

I would like to upgrade to the pro version on the iPhone, but when I push to purchase it replies with an error message that says that I am unable to make purchases on this device.

I have money in the iTunes account. I’m not sure what’s going on.

GarretRain If the error message shown is "Unable to make payments on this device", then iOS reports to the app that the currently logged in user cannot make payments. Please check your App Store payment settings and also make sure that making payments isn't disabled in the iOS settings: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/102470

timo Timo, many thanks I made the changes to turn on Settings > Screen Time, then tap Content & Privacy Restrictions (to allow purchases). However, I still get the Unable to Make Purchcases on this Device error - even after a phone reboot.

I don't know how else I could help, sorry. This is some iOS related stuff that I don't have that much knowledge about. You wouldn't be able to make purchases in other apps either - it's nothing specific to Diarium. Maybe you have some luck googling the issue and trying what's suggested in the web
