Bypass calendar to directly open to add note?

Hello!
New to this awesome app & had a question. It might be a feature request but I wanted to verify I'm not missing something.

Is there a way I can click the add note + button and bypass the calendar opening and then having to click a second time on OK to write a note? Not sure why that added step is there.

In the calendar view, you can simply click on the day you want to add an entry to. Is that what you were looking for?

I just tested it showing only the calendar and if I click on a empty calendar date it does open up a blank note for me, unless I click on a date that already has entries. Then it just takes me to the entrie list where I have to click the top right to add a note. But I prefer the split view anyway.

I make a lot of daily entries as things happen in the moment so that's why I asked. Wanted to make sure I wasn't missing a setting or something. It's a wonderful little app. I used another one for 5 yrs but they stopped updating it. I found the recommendation for yours on Reddit.

I think opening calendar when we click in plus button

Instead of showing calendar, take us to the creating an entry.

@Nancy this would be problem if we have to choose different date. Diarium allows past and future dates.

Been using it for a while now. Beautiful little app. I have it set to open to Calendar/Timeline screen seen the background, which automatically defaults to the current day.

I do wish there was an option when clicking the the + to open the entry form immediately, rather than having click through the calendar every time.
But again, that's the way I personally use it. Logging things day and night in the moment. 🙂
