Formatting disappearing on Android tablet

Hi, been using Diarium for about the last 16 months or so and love it. I use the cross sync between my Windows 11 laptop, my Android mobile phone and my Android Samsung Tab 8.

When using it on the Tab 8, everything is fine other than when it syncs, it loses all of the formatting. Going from PC to phone, phone to PC etc is fine, but underlined/bold stuff disappears when I update and sync via my tablet.

Any advice?

Can you please provide clear steps on how to reproduce it or on what device you see what behaviour in what order?
Or even better, can you provide a screen capture video?
When you edit an entry on your tablet, and then re-open the same entry, the formatting is still there. But as soon as you sync it, and then re-open the entry again afterwards (still on your tablet) the formatting is gone?
Please also mention what Android version you are using.

I cannot reproduce such behavior unfortuantely.
When you add formatting on the tablet, does that persist?
What keyboard app are you using on your tablet?

Hi,

Thanks for replying. I can't do a screen capture video, but I started the morning using my normal template on my Samsung A54 phone which has bold and underlined headings. When I started work, I edited it on my Windows laptop and synced which showed everything as it had been on the phone. I've now switched across to my Samsung S8 tablet to add a note under one of the headings and synced.
Of course, this time when I have edited it, it is not happening! I will keep trying to replicate it and provide more information

This issue is related to this problem and essentially an issue of the Samsung keyboard app. I will add a workaround for it to the next update, but hopefully Samsung will fix this problem in their keyboard app
