Allow using iPad external keyboard to bold, italicize, underline, etc.

I’m really really enjoying this app. I have been typing most of my entries on my iPad Magic Keyboard. Things are working great, but one feature I noticed wasn’t implemented was being able to hit cmd/ctrl + b to bold stuff. Same thing with italicize, strike through, underline, and whatever other options there are. It’s a small thing, but it does interrupt my flow sometimes.

I’m sure this is something that wasn’t thought of previously. Is it possible to get this feature added?

Shift +Cmd+L ordered list

AvinashR I implemented the other shortcuts as command+{letter}. Is that not the common pattern? Any reason why the Shift is necessary?

it might clash between Unordered and Underline if you want to use U as the {letter}

Shortcuts for ordered + unordered list will also come with the next update (please note, this is only for iOS - hope to add shortcuts on the other platforms later)

@timo is it possible to have shortcut for back button as well

keyboard shortcut: cmd + left_arrow
mouse shortcut: button 4/5(side buttons)

AvinashR Just to clarify: You also are using the iPad app with a Magic Keyboard? Or is this about the Mac app? Because for the latter there is another, dedicated feature request

I don't know what shortcuts are available and what are it's keyboard shortcuts.

I figured out bold, italic and underline but not for others like strikethrough, unordered list, numbered list etc...

You can just add here for now.

On iPadOS you can show supported keyboard shortcuts when holding the Command key (this works on all iOS apps): https://support.apple.com/en-us/102393
