New Phone - Lost Data

I changed phones and now can't access any of my Diarium account.
I purchased Pro in May 2023
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app to see if it would trigger me to buy pro again as the suggestions I found said that if you try to re-buy pro it will solve it, but you can't be charged twice, but I can't find anywhere that even asks me to upgrade to pro.
I am using the same google account as last time on this new phone
Not sure what to do next?

Diarium version: 3.0.81
OS + version: Android

RebeccaMilham You need to choose your cloud backup and login to authenticate and get it working. Otherwise, it won't sync. Going forward, it would also be a good idea to do a periodic manual backup every so often just in case there is any problem with the cloud storage.

I haven't understood the problem you were having with the Pro version. If you weren't prompted to buy the Pro version, the Pro version probably was already bought and active.

RebeccaMilham There is no "Diarium account". Your question is covered in the pro version FAQs

Yep - I can see that - but the FAQ's say:

"Sync across all your devices using your personal Cloud storage" - how come it's not doing that?

Also it says
"As described above, the Pro version needs to be purchased only once per platform. In case the Pro version does not automatically activate after switching the device and using the same App Store account, then re-initiating the purchasing process can trigger the download of the license (no worries - it is not possible to buy the Pro version twice with the same account)"
I haven't been able to figure out how to do this either - I've been using the same Google account on all my devices, but it doesn't recognise me or give me back my data.

It is doing that, but you need to enable it manually and authenticate to the Cloud service & authorize Diarium. How else could the app know where to sync to?

The sync account isn't necessarily the same as the account you buy the app with. And when you are prompted again to purchase the app on Android, then there is no previous purchase found for that account.
