Can't Switch Account for Purchase

I have multiple user accounts on my phone. Only one i use for purchases. I downloaded the app when logged into that account on google play store. But in app when i try to buy the pro version, a different account shows up and i cant switch it.

I want to purchase the pro version. How do i switch the purchasing google acount?
(I have tried clearing Diarium cache and data and deleting it. Then i cleared play store cache. Then redownloaded the app. Same problem)

OS + version: Android 13, OneUI 5.1
Device model: Samsung S20 fe

That's a Google problem - there's no way for the app to "see" what accounts are present on the phone, nor can it choose what account to use. It's a frustrating issue that affects all Android developers: https://github.com/android/play-billing-samples/issues/2
The best way would be to only use one Google account on the phone

If i buy the pro version on a different device with my purchasing account, will i be able to switch to that account on this device then?

For example:
On this phone i have account A and account B.
Account A is my purchasing account.
If i buy the app on a device with only account A signed in. Will i be able to access pro version on my current device where both account A and B are signed in?

Kahn If the app on your main device "talks" with the Play Store using account B, then I don't know how the app would be informed about the purchase that happened on another device...

This is absurdly dumb on google's part. They are straight up not allowing me to buy Pro.

Yes, it's super-frustrating.
You could temporarily remove the other account, then buy the app, then add the other account back

How to be sure that the app will not revert "talking" to playstore using Account B?

There's no way to be sure, but Diarium stores the purchase receipt after the purchase and then - even when the Play Store account is being switched - it validates the license based on that receipt. So it should not revert to the free version
