Jim There is no manual for Diarium. Maybe experienced users could create one
So here is a start.
Open a note from the timeline view.
At the top left is a < then the word "Timeline. Touch and return to the timeline.
Top center is short date: Thu, Nov 16, 23. Touch does nothing.
On the top right are two arrows, < > which move back and forth through the notes.
Far right is a circle with three dots which brings up a set of 6 options. More later.
Open a note from the calendar view.
At the top left is a < then the full date: Thursday, May 16, 2023. Touch and return to calendar.
Top center is short date: Thu, Nov 16, 23. Touch does nothing.
On the top right are two arrows, < > which move back and forth through the notes
Far right is a circle with three dots which brings up a set of 6 options. More later.
In the note you may type text. There are the usual edit options above the keyboard: list options - ordered list (numbered) and unordered (bullets), Bold, Italics, Underlined, Strikethrough, highlight, font color, link. After the vertical line are arrows for undo and redo.
At the bottom of the note are some options and information, and 6 icons.
If the note is long these icons may not show, but swiping up on the text will reveal them.
Just below the text will be a list of tags, if any, then other info such as word count according to what you have selected to be there from the options menu.
If there are tags listed there are options.
Touch a tag to reveal options: "Tagged entries", "Edit", "Remove"
Remove deletes the tag from the note.
Edit lets you change the name of the tag. Watch out, as this will change that tag name across all notes.
Thus if you change tag "work" to "zork", all notes previously tagged as "work" will now be tagged 'zork"
This is a handy way to change the name of a tag, but if you just want to change the tag on a note, do a remove then Add Tags as below
"Tagged entries" brings up a timeline of just those notes with that tags.
This set of notes may be viewed or edited like any other note.
But at the top center of the list will be the tag selected to tell you you are in the tag mode.
When you visit each note everything will be the same except the left arrow bears the tag name.
The date will be displayed as before. Touching it does nothing.
Touching the tag name on the top left will take you back to the tagged entries list.
The right < > will move you through the set of tagged entries.
To get out often tagged entries set, move back using < until you get to the list, then touch again to get back to normal.
Below the tags are 6 icons
