Red ! on Windows Shortcut?

Hi all. I noticed yesterday a Red ! on the Windows Shortcut:

Looks like I'm rocking v3.0.68.0 which seems to be the latest.

The issue of course is that I have other apps pinned to my taskbar and I use that space to indicate when action is required by me for one of those open apps. In this case, things are sync'd (OneDrive) and I don't see any action items in the app. Rather, I'm just faced all day with the distraction of appearing that someting is required 😉

I've tried removing and adding the shortcut again ... no dice. Any other ideas/solutions?

This is a badge that signals that the app is not in sync (e.g. the auto sync failed due to internet connection issues).
It's not a bug and has been part of the app since many years 🙂
Please double-check if the app is indeed synced and maybe restart Windows (perhaps it's a Windows issue)

Makes sense ... that's what I would have expected too. Here's the icon once Diarium is open. So the app knows it's sync'd:

OneDrive reports as sync'd. I also did a full restart last night (same issue).

Curious for sure ....

I can't think of another reason than a Windows bug... You can disable those badges in the task bar settings

Must be a Windows bug. Other than the cumulative update that I received yesterday, I'm on the latest Win 11 version. Thanks for confirming I wasn't missing anything 🙂. And mostly ... thanks for an amazing app.

The fix for this ... so others can benefit ... is to add a new journal entry. Despite OneDrive showing as sync'd, the Windows Task Bar warning notification persisted. Creating the new journal entry and then forcing a OneDrive sync solved the issue.

Not for me. Pity, but the suggested fix with a new entry didn't solve the issue: still got the exclamation mark on my Diarium taskbar icon.
Btw: the other suggestion of turning it off in the taskbar settings, turns it off for ALL taskbar icons! And that's not acceptable.
I also don't think it is a Windows bug: it only happens on the Diarium icon, not on other icons.

Tijgerreiger I removed that feature a few updates ago, you would have to now reinstall the app to have the icon removed
