How can I get to "today"? AND number of entries missing

Hello! I;m new to the app, I have pro version. I checked the forum for this, but couldn't find anything.

Sometimes I reflect back on other days and more the years around. When I'm in Dec 2023, how do I go back to specifically today (whatever today is), so the app can jump back to today without me clicking around? Is there an automatic way to do this?

Another one relates to the slightly shaded bar on the bottom of the day tile. On some it says "2 entries" ion the shaded bar, but on other days that also have more than 1 entry - it doesn't. What is the meaning of the shaded bar (see attached pic)?

On macOS, you can jump to any day by clicking on the date in the title bar and "today" should be preselected.

It's possible that the shaded bar without text is a bug (but I wasn't able to reproduce it in a quick test). Does it show after startup or only when scrolling to other dates? Does it always show for the same day or randomly? How many entries does the day have when there's no text in the bar?

Hello timo, thank you for your answer! I still don't know what you mean by selecting "today." I don't have any "today" writing, only days and months. And if I'm on, say Dec 2023 and move the arrow around the year on the top bar to 2024, it moves me to 2024, but also December. So then, I need to go back to Jan 2024 in the small calendar on the top, and I need to do it by hand - click the months to Jan and click on the day. There is no one-click way I can find, or is there? Maybe I'm missing a setting?

After I restarted, the shaded bar, indeed, has now the number of entries for all days, so it must have been a glitch :-)

Thanks for the screenshot. It turns out that on macOS the behavior of the "jump to day" button was a different to how it works on iOS, Windows and Android. Instead of pre-selecting the current date, it pre-selected the date that you have scrolled to (in your case 12/12/2024). I will change it so that the behavior is in line with the apps on the other platforms
