Add the GIF feature back in

I really miss not being able to add a GIF to my post to show up on the calendar view. It really added visual interest that no other journaling calendar out there has. I know it was removed as there were some issues of freezing, but for those of us that used it regularily, it was great. I use this feature on my PC, Lenovo Thinkpad 5.

What kind of GIFs are you adding to your journal? What benefit does it have over pictures?
I don't want to add features that only work on some device and not on other. Also, it introduced a big complexity in the code when handling with media files. I think only a small percentage of users are using GIFs

For me it really adds great interest to the monthly diary overview. And its a feature not found in any other diary programs. The gifs I used were just general ones but as I said, it added visual interest to my posts. I miss the feature.
