I’ve searched other feature requests regarding attachments but didn’t find this particular feature request.
It would be more practical and user friendly if when you are viewing attachments on iPhone you could tap on them to view a larger image instead of opening up the journal entry each time you tap on something. This is especially useful when viewing videos, since most of my videos either have no thumbnail or the thumbnail is just a blur.
At the moment the “attachments viewer” is not really a viewer, it’s more like thumbnail shortcuts to your journal entries.
The second part of the feature request would be the ability to filter and sort media types in the “Attachments” tab into “Photos” “Videos” “Voice Recordings” etc.
Two reasons why I think this feature request would be of benefit;
Sometimes, it’s nice just to look back in time and relive your memories by viewing photos /videos only, without the need to read in-depth journal entries. It’s also a great way to see what documents and Voice recordings you have.
If your journal database is getting too big and you have been over-zealous with your media attached per entry the “Attachments Viewer” would be a great way to quickly view and purge unwanted attachments to save space on your cloud provider rather than buying more room on the cloud to store multiple similar videos of the same thing (which at the time you thought was a great idea!)
