can I share my entire journal?

Is there a way that I can share my entire journal with selected people?
I am thinking of wanting dear ones to read my entries, see my photos, and hear my voice after I am dead.

You can share your complete journal by using the "Export" feature and share the file with other people. Of course, content you add to Diarium after you do the export will not be in the file.

It is also possible that other people also install the Diarium app and then use the same Cloud Sync account to access your journal. However they will also be able to then add/change/delete entries from the journal.

EAPTCB This would be possible, but very difficult due to the nature of Diarium being an "offline-first" journal. I would have to code an entire website from scratch, without being able to reuse any existing code. And the database would somehow need to be stored online on a server hosted by me so other people (who got such a "shared link") could access it any time. This would again cause many difficulties. Very unlikely that this will happen to be honest.

That makes perfect sense. I was just throwing the idea out there as I thought it may have been a "2-for-1" fix (The browser or Linux debate and the sharing request above)

It's enlightening and (for you, very frustrating) when us end user's suggest what we think is a 'quick fix' or 'minor adjustment' or a feature request without really understanding its workings or the point of view of the developer .

We are lucky to have someone who is so responsive and takes the time to answer all of our questions with courtesy and explanations. I have needed support in the past from other developers on other apps and the level of support is diabolical and in some cases rude.

I for one really appreciate how you take on board all of our suggestions and how active and helpful you are on this forum and the love you have for Diarium- thanks timo 🙂

I know of and use the export feature. I also value the ability to add sound and photos.
I was imagining a way to share the online journal in order to allow family/friends to hear my voice and see photos in color at some later date. Of course 'export' does not do that, and sharing the same cloud account is beyond the ability and/or interest of many/all of my family and friends. So I guess I will capture monthly exports on paper, and find another way to share audio files.
