custom title for link to entry

link to entry is a nice addition to diarium. However its not there yet.

one important things that i feel is missing to have custom title. currently its picking the title of entry as a hyperlink text but i would like to refer as different text

for example:

main entry title: newyear celebrations
main entry date: 1-1-2023

second entry date: 10-10-2023
second entry description: i had nice time this new year

i would like to show this new year instead of newyear celebrations to take me to new year entry.

similar to how hyperlinks works for example google with url and text

Diarium version: 2.9.78
OS + version: ios16
Device model: iphone 13

Not sure if I understand but just like all other links, the text for the new links can be adjusted as well (place cursor on it, press "link" button, adjust text)

if what you say is correct then its a bug

after pressing ok showing as below

as you can see it didn’t change from sample old entry to old entry

it is still showing as sample old entry

that’s why i thought as a new feature as it is not working expected

AvinashR I don't announce release dates for updates. It can take a few weeks. This is not a critical bug that needs a hotfix update. The editing of links works on the other platform, so you could do the linking there in the meantime

i am just starting to use(free trail) on my mac but the option to edit is not avaiable at all 🙁

Just change the text, write in the text field. Doesn't that work (that might also work on iOS)?

That worked 🙂. Even on iOS.
So now I don't have to wait for the fix even though it's good have it working through link.
