Diarium version: 2.9.75
OS + version: running on Android newest version. and windows 11
Device model: galaxy s22 ultra and a laptop.

I use this app as a kind of all in one for all my daily things. With that I attach a minimum of three photos every day. I start on my phone add the daily phots and some text then save it. I then open the app on my computer so I can make noted as the day goes. If I have wifi enabled on my phone it fails to sync the photos every single time. I have to have wifi off for the photos to attach on my phone. It's annoying trying to remember to turn off wifi for this one app. If they fail to sync I cannot just resend they will never show up. I have to delete them from the post on my phone then reattach them to get them on my computer version. I bought both versions to use in the ways I need and they do not sync up right.

What exactly do you mean with "it fails to sync to photos every single time"? How exactly does it fail? What exactly happens? Diarium shows an error message if the sync wasn't successful.
I don't think this is a Diarium-related problem as other users have no problems syncing with mobile data. I would appreciate a more detailed problem description if you are sure there is some problem with Diarium.

I start on my ohone add some images to my post and click sync. It says the sync failed and to try again. If I go to my computer the photos are not there. I have to go back to the post on my phone; delete the images and readd them it only fails to sync on my phone with wifi on. If I turn wifi off they sync fine. It is not an internet or wifi issue as this is literally the only app I have problems with.

This is the image I get every single time on the app on my phone. It is not my wifi as my wifi works for every other app I'm using. It gives me the error in my screenshot and when I go to my computer the photo attachments do not show up. I have to delete them from the phone and re-upload them with wifi off. It works that way then I can turn my wifi back in for everything else i do. I have tried just resenting and it says its successful (with the check mark that it synced) but they still will not actually show up on the computer version until I delete them and upload them without wifi on.

Then there is some problem with the wifi (or with the wifi settings on your phone). For some reason the wifi blocks the requests to upload files to your selected cloud storage. I am not able to reproduce this and I haven't heard about this problem from other users yet. What Cloud service have you selected for Cloud Sync?

I didn't fully understand your last sentence. What do you mean with "resenting"? Also what do you mean with "until I delete them and upload them without wifi on"? How do you upload deleted pictures?

I remove the photos from the post you know delete them from the entry when you cl8ck on a photo on a post it has a trashcan icon that allows you to delete the photo from a post. Then readd them with my wifi off and it works fine. I use onedrive to sync and it works fine with literally everything but this app. And I meant resync my phone autocorrected. To get it to work I have to turn wifi off while using your app. Literally the only thing on my phone that I have to do that with. I paid almost $20 for two copies of your app and it doesn't even work the way it is supposed to. No it is not an issue with my wifi or my settings as I can upload to onedrive before, after, during. It is literally only YOUR app that has any issues at all. I bought it so I can start my mornings on my phone then add notes through out the day while I work on my computer. Doesn't help when the images seem so hard to sync. it makes no sense.

I use the OneDrive sync as well (and so do thousands of other users). It works fine in wifi and outside wifi. We can continue to argue who's "fault" it is, it doesn't bring us any further. As we don't know what the root cause for this error is, I recommend using another sync option, like the Google Drive sync.

Since I bought 2 versions of this app to use together and it does not work the way you claim it is supposed to I want my money back on both versions of the app. It is supposed to sync up so I can use it on both devices and it does not. Your app is the only thing that has issues with wifi or cloud backup. I brought the issue to you to hopefully get it fixed instead you tell me it's my fault and you blame me for the issues. It is not my fault nor is it my internet. I want my money back so I can find an app that actually does what it claims. And where the device don't blame the customer for errors in the app. It's not my wifi my wifi works fine with every other app but yours. I want my money back since it does not work like you claim it's supposed to and you are unwilling to try to fix it instead your blaming me. That is not proper drv support or customer support. Please refund my money and I will find another app that actually works.

I can not issue refunds. Only Apple or Microsoft can, depending on where you bought the app. I can only issue refunds for purchases made on the Google play store but I need to transaction ID which you got from Google.
I am not blaming you, I don't know what you expect me to do to fix the problem. As I said before, the sync works without issues in all wifis I have tested the app in. I offered a workaround: the Google Drive or Dropbox sync will probably work.
Diarium offers a 7 day trial period in which you can test all features of the app - like the Cloud sync - in order to make sure all works as expected and to prevent bad experiences

@NatashaWinston Did you tried to restart your Wifi router? If I remember correctly, there were other users in this forum having difficulties to sync over Wifi until they restarted the router. Sometimes routers are doing crazy stuff out of the blue where one thing is not working correctly anymore, but others do. I also had this kind of issues - not related to Diarium, but with other apps.

Thank you for the suggestion. Yes I have restarted it and it did not fix the issue.

Another way is to backup the diary and then down load to your pc or phone each time.

Just checked and it synced from android to one drive. However if one drive limits are reached by the sync then it will not be able to connect. How big is your file your trying to sync?
If you have a Microsoft computer one drive gives you 5GB free after that you have to pay for or it will reject files too big to upload and that is probably what you are seeing from this app. However there is no error message to say this as it's not the apps fault. Hope this helps.

Splash3313 I have 5 tb of space on one drive since I pay for office 365. The files are two screenshots from my phone and one photo of a page on a book. Three photos total. I have no problems with literally anything else uploaded to my one drive. I xan back up other things on my phone with no issues. This is literally the only app that had errors. I just feel that I should have gotten more support feom the creator other than not my problem. And change your back up settings. Apps are supposed to work with your set up. I around not have to alter my settings to make an app work. When I brought it up it would have been nice to have had some support from the creator other than too bad not my fault or well change your backup settings to fit my app. It just feels unsupported and like hus go to wad to blame me instead of trying to find a solution.

I would love to help you with this, but how? What do you expect me to do?
I can only fix problems that I can reproduce or that I understand why they are happening. The only thing I could do is to jump into a plane, come to your house and test/debug the app in your wifi environment. I hope you agree that this is not feasible.
Never did I blame you and I did offer you a solution which for some reason you do not want to consider.
If a wifi router blocks particular requests to the OneDrive servers (this or something related is what I think is happening here), there's nothing I can do. There's no magic button I could press to "make it work". Other apps may work because they have different functionality than Diarium and don't depend on the API requests that Diarium depends on.

This is the most helpful and informative you've been. This is an answer. It's your wifi and your phone change your settings is not that was my point. Instead of asking more questions that could help or even trying to provide any explanation you jumped straight to its not my app its you. So thank you for finally actually answering instead of just basically saying too bad
