Thanks for the continued feedback on this request.
I looked into Samsung Health integration again. I understand why this would be useful, especially for users with Samsung phones, Galaxy Watch, or Galaxy Ring who already have steps, sleep, workouts, and other day context in Samsung Health.
At the moment, I do not plan to add a direct Samsung Health integration. The main reason is technical/platform-related: Samsung Health access is provided through a native Android SDK, not a general REST/cloud API that Diarium could use across Android, Windows, iOS, and macOS. Shipping it to users also requires Samsung approval/partnership registration for the Android app package/signature. So this would add a second Android-only health integration with additional approval and maintenance work.
The better long-term direction on Android is Health Connect. Health Connect is Android’s common health data layer, and Samsung Health can share some data with Health Connect when the user enables that connection. This avoids Diarium having to integrate separately with every individual fitness app and gives users one central place to control which data is shared.
So for now I will keep this request open, but I am prioritizing Health Connect instead of a direct Samsung Health-only integration. If Samsung Health data is not showing in Diarium through Health Connect, please check Samsung Health’s Health Connect settings and make sure the relevant data types are shared there.
