I like the ideas behind the mock-up a lot. The option of moving an image slideshow above the text block is a nice touch for the mood - for selecting the cover image, there could be was a little icon in the bottom bar of the sildeshow you could select to make the image present the cover image. Pretty much like Diaro's 'primary image' function.

I Love the Mock-up! It really gives the entry a 'vibe'. However, I am new to Darium and I understand that you are developing the App alone. Priorities are essential in everything we do. So, I just wanted you to know that I like what I see in the Mock-up.

It would be nice if the idea was extended to the entry layout in the Timeline view. The use case would that when an entry only has images, then the list item would not be mainly empty with a square thumbnail at the far right end, which looks odd.

So something like this (excuse the poor photoshop):

Wanted to switch from Day One to Apple's Journal, but then encountered all the features it was missing, as well as the fact that beibg locked into Apple's ecosystem backfire pretty quickly.

Then found an even greater jewel - Diarium, but found out that it is not possible to have in-line images between text, which should be the most common rich-text feature out there. I heavily use and rely on this feature as the images, let's say during travel add so much more context and memories to the text.

As I see the feature has been requested for 2 years already, is there a good reason to ignore it?

The complexity of implementing it and the vast amount of other feature requests, plus the ongoing maintenance work that limits my time for implementing new features

I also just can't believe this basic feature is still after all those years not implemented. I do understand it's complex to implement and I do understand there are lots of other feature requests as well as maintenance, but very few of them are as important (yes, I know, one tends to think their priorities are the most important so maybe I'm falling into this trap, too, but I actually rarely do and I believe I can usually appreciate other people's priorities very well). I also believe it's not just me who'd be happy to pay a reasonable subscription to support maintenance and development, but it looks like it is a no no here and therefore as the previous years show only minor improvements have a chance of being implemented. I've pretty much given up on this otherwise great app for this reason and only came back here after some time only to have my doubts confirmed. Shame.

pavel Subscription? I respectfully disagree. The only reason I chose this app over all the few others that I tried is because it doesn't require a subscription. I sincerely don't understand why almost every software company nowadays think that people will subscribe to hundreds of apps / services. It's not only the money, it's the management of all those subs, the credit card number being all over the place, the shady practices of most software companies that make every effort in order for you to forget that your sub will renew, make it as hard as possible to cancel, and so on and so on.
I had a few apps that were one time purchase but later on switched to sub. I replaced them all with non-sub apps.
Why in the world does a password management app, for example, need a subscription?
Timo, please don't go the subscription route.

Bigger image in the main page would be very nice indeed. Maybe even the image could be set as a background with a high transparency value, that could fill the whole page (main page that is)
