PierceB Diaro primarily because of the uber intelligent manner in which the location feature is implemented.
I tried Diaro too, and .. I Like & Dislike their way to handle maps :
- indeed the thumbnail view taking the width of the phone when we open an entrie is great and the possibility to save places to be able to reuse them faster is intesresting and in a way handy to filter the entries
- however : I find it annoying that we HAVE TO save each and any location .. and therefore less handy when one want to filter in a wilder location
I prefer the way Diarium handle that : the location is more precise without having to manually save thousands of different locations, plus the entries are gathered better on the maps view according of the zoom used
(for example during holidays .. I could in Diario reuse for all the entries "Paris FRANCE" .. and then it's quick and easy ... but in Diarium, I would have entries with exact location, one at the Eiffel tower, another in a precise street, remembering the nice evening at my friend place, etc etc ..
So far, I prefer the pin point way of Diarium, even if indeed, the export is Non-human readable and the map thumbnail is not large enough when visualising an entrie, on phone at least)
PS : I'm on Android, so I assume google maps is used and not Apple Maps 🙂
